Abstract

Local, state, national, and international healthcare organizations are rapidly scaling up their response to the recent Zika virus outbreak. Zika virus is linked to a significant rise in neurologic disorders such as microcephaly and Guillain-Barré syndrome. Nurses must stay abreast of the evolving body of knowledge surrounding Zika virus infection in order to provide optimal care to their patients.
