Abstract
Seizure in infants is potentially life-threatening if prolonged apnea or hypoventilation occur. If water intoxication is the cause, do the following: • Obtain a baseline serum sodium level. • Weigh the infant, and estimate the amount of dehydration. • Replace sodium levels slowly intravenously.
