Abstract
This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: Primary objectives: Our primary objectives are: To assess the accuracy of the urine LF-LAM assay for the diagnosis of active TB disease in adults with HIV who are thought to have TB, at different cut-offvalues for test positivity. To assess the accuracy of LF-LAM used as a screening test for active TB disease in adults with HIV, at different cut-offvalues for test positivity. The role of urine LF-LAM assay could be a replacement test for sputum smear microscopy or sputum Xpert® MTB/RIF or an add-on test to sputum smear microscopy or sputum Xpert® MTB/RIF. To investigate heterogeneity of test accuracy in the included studies. Possible sources of heterogeneity include the following covariates: the threshold used to interpret LF-LAM positivity, CD4 count, clinical setting, and reference standard.
