Abstract
A tunable dual-wavelength laser using Sagnac-lyot filters was presented. A PM fiber amplifier was used for improving the satbility of the laser, and two separate Sagnac filters were used for independent control of continuous absolute wavelength position and discrete wavelength spacing. The device demonstrated absolute wavelength tuning from 1550 nm to 1650 nm and discrete channel tuning of 100 GHz and 200 GHz. The dual-wavelength operation was stable for 100 GHz and 200 GHz spacings.
