Abstract

This report describes research conducted at Yale New Haven Medical Center to delineate expanded roles for nurses in the care of ambulatory children and adults. The experimental training program developed through the research encompasses such diverse areas as physical diagnosis in pediatrics and medicine, psychiatry, social work, dietetics and physiotherapy.
