Abstract
Achieving transplantation tolerance will have enormous benefits for current recipients of allogeneic grafts and future recipients of xenogeneic grafts. Our sophistication in developing clinically relevant tolerance induction protocols is increasing in proportion to our understanding of the barriers that still remain in the way of the consistent induction of a tolerant state.
