Abstract
The purpose of this article is to review trends, techniques, and issues in the treatment of sexual disorders, including their clinical presentation and classification, sexual physiology, differential diagnosis, selection of treatment, and the development of sexuality. The place of 'sex therapy' and the competence of 'sex therapists' will also be discussed. The article is directed toward helping in the day-to-day clinical processes of evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic disposition.
