Abstract
Bound polymer dynamics was analyzed using neutron scattering measurements performed on a Fermi chopper time-of-flight (TOF) spectrometer. Three concentrations of carbon black filled samples were prepared and bright-field transmission electron microscopy images were obtained under low-dose conditions. The spectra of the bound polymer were same as pure polymer spectrum at low carbon concentration and at high carbon black concentration an enhanced ordering of the bound polymer at the surface was observed for the bound polymer. The results show that the percolation value of the carbon black plays a role in the transition from one type of bound polymer dynamics to another.
