Computed tomography (CT) of the head provides the ability to rapidly evaluate patients with acute head injuries. Moreover CT aids in surgical planning, prognosticating outcome and recovery time, and monstoring nonsurgical injuries. The authors review the ways in which CT is employed in a multiple trauma center.
