Funding Information: The American Association of Colleges of Nursing and the City of Hope Medical Center, funded by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is engaged in development of a standardized curriculum for teaching nurses about palliative care. The End of Life Nursing Education Consortium Project (ELNEC) 4 has begun by developing a curriculum for generic (baccalaureate) nursing education and will present this to an initial group of nurse educators in January 2001.
