Abstract
Writers, including Sigmund Freud and Havelock Ellis, have hypothesized about the link between olfaction and sexual activity in humans. This article reports an assessment of the sexual behavior of four subjects with congenital absence of smell. In these subjects, good sexual functioning remained intact despite the absence of the sense of smell.
