Abstract
Despite multiple studies of immune differences in autism, this area of research has been hampered by a lack of unifying hypotheses, consistent and comprehensive data with clinical definitions and correlations, and continuous followup of subjects and immune functions over time. Many important questions remain, as well as the need for testable hypotheses, before controlled therapeutic trials become compelling priorities.
