Abstract
The reaction of [Re(v)(O)Cl3(L) with p-toluidine taken in equimolecular proportion in boiling toluene has afforded the title complex [(L)Cl2(O)Re(v)ORe(v)(NC6H4Me)Cl2(L)] (L = 2-(p- chlorophenylazo)pyridine). Structure determination has revealed the presence of an unsymmetrical oxo bridge (Re-O, 1.849(7) Å and 1.954(7) Å) interlinking Re(v)O and Re(v)NAr moieties.
