Abstract
Two cultures of human adult lymphocytes and four cultures of umbilical cord blood were ex posed to diagnostic ultrasound during the entire incubation period of 72 to 90 hours. The control cultures were incubated under the same condition without being exposed to ultrasound. Nine hundred twenty-six cells from test and control specimens were scored by a doubleblind method. Both test and control groups of cells showed minimal damage, but that of the test cells was not significantly greater than that of control cells.
