Abstract
The data suggest that in hypothyroidism DPH is capable of increasing basal levels of TSH and prolactin. Although stimulated levels of these hormones are similar, the proportionate changes are blunted in the DPH treated group. Dilantin does not affect these hormones in euthyroid animals. The mechanism by which hypothyroidism interacts with DPH to effect these changes is unknown.
