Abstract

The hemodynamic effects of unsensitized small lymphocytes were studied, during simultaneous ex vivo perfusion of allogeneic and isogeneic rat kidneys. It was demonstrated that lymphocytes produced a greater increase in vascular resistance in the allogeneic kidney, and that more cells were retained in the allogeneic than in the isogeneic kidney. The effects were interpreted as allogeneic adsorption between cells of different genotypes.
