Abstract
The following commentary, the second of a five-part series to be published in the Journal, summarizes a presentation from a minisymposium addressing some of the issues of "living with cancer." The minisymposium was presented to the National Cancer Advisory Board in 1992. It is our hope that these commentaries will stimulate new research initiatives and changes in current health care education and practice, as well as in health policy, to make living with cancer a more human experience.
