Abstract

Digestive diseases impose enormous economic costs. Many of the most common and costly digestive conditions are associated with diabetes mellitus. This chapter reviews the associations between diabetes and several digestive diseases, including gastrointestinal cancers; and the associations of liver disease with diabetes.
