Abstract

The A,B-ring-truncated OSW saponin analogs (1, 18a, and 18b) were synthesized. These greatly simplified trans-hydrindane disaccharides retained considerable inhibitory activity against the growth of HeLa and Jurkat T cells (IC50 = 0.8-21.1 μM).
