Abstract

Supranuclear ophthalmoplegia following open and invasive cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting has rarely been reported. We present two patients who developed supranuclear ophthalmoplegia following less-invasive cardiac catheterization. Potential pathophysiologies of this entity are reviewed.
