Abstract

Spinal cord is a frequent target for injection of various therapeutic agents including stem cells, growth factors, small molecules, or genetic constructs. Due to its fragility and specific anatomical localization injection has to be performed with great deal of care to minimize injury and assure precision of targeting. This chapter describes two approaches for gaining access to the spinal cord facilitating safe and efficient intraspinal injection.
