Abstract

Spinal cord injuries are among the most clinically concerning diagnoses encountered by neurosurgeons. Potentially, these injuries can require urgent surgical and medical interventions. In children with symptoms consistent with an acute spinal cord injury, initial imaging modalities such as X-rays and computed tomography scans may be normal. The incidence and management of pediatric patients with spinal cord injury without radiographic abnormality are reviewed.
