Abstract

Skin ulcerations are a possible presentation of illness in travelers returning from abroad. This case highlights the diagnosis and treatment of a papule contracted by traveler who recently returned from South America. The papule developed into a progressively enlarging, nonresolving skin ulcer. With the increase of travel abroad and overseas stationing of military personnel, primary care physicians should be familiar with the potential causes and treatments for these lesions.
