Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The objectives of this review are: 1. To compare the effectiveness of silicone hydrogel contact lenses with hydrogel daily wear contact lenses for the correction of simple refractive error; and 2. To explore the rate and severity of corneal infiltrative events associated with the use of silicone hydrogel and hydrogel contact lenses when used as daily wear contact lenses.
