Abstract

Partners of individuals with Alzheimer's disease (AD) face profound changes in their relationships. Little research has investigated the impact of dementia on sexual function and relationships. This paper presents data concerning sexual intimacy within couples affected by AD. Participants' responses were striking for their heterogeneity. Implications are discussed.
