Abstract
Paranoid disorders in later life are relatively common and pose diagnostic and management challenges. Psychotic symptoms become more common with increasing age and identifying their origins requires detailed assessment of medical, psychological and social aspects. The nature of these symptoms provide clues to the diagnosis though it is usually associated symptoms, onset and course that establishes the condition needing treatment.
