Abstract

Historically, the evaluation of respiratory disorders in children has been accomplished via conventional flexible bronchoscopy. Our objective is to discuss and illustrate the role of multidetector CT volume visualization as a noninvasive alternative in the evaluation of pediatric airway conditions. We conclude that MDCT volume visualization is a useful diagnostic noninvasive method for the evaluation of the pediatric airway in a variety of airway pathologies.
