Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic, immune mediated, inflammatory disease that results in significant morbidity for patients. Chronic synovitis causes progressive joint damage and tendon dysfunction. The hand is most affected by rheumatoid arthritis and judicious treatment can ameliorate the functional deterioration of these patients. We will explore the effectiveness of a new class of drugs for treating rheumatoid arthritis and discuss various surgical interventions designed to improve function.
