Abstract
We examined two insulin-dependent adult diabetics for progression of retinopathy. The pattern of retinopathies was atypical for diabetes and led to the consideration and subsequent diagnosis of systemic sarcoidosis. We believe that the course and pattern of diabetic retinopathy can be severely altered by the presence of another vaso-occlusive disease.
