note = "Funding Information: Billing codes included evaluation/management outpatient codes for direct evaluations and indirect/curbside evaluations (99203-99205, 99213-99215), collaborative care codes (99492-99494), psychiatric diagnostic evaluation codes (90792), and psychotherapy codes (90833, 90836). Some clinics used a care coordination code (99484). Funding for integrated care came from the department of psychiatry (41%) and the department of pediatrics (21%). Grant funding and philanthropy (28%) supported many programs. There have been shifts in legislation since the turn of the century that indicate a shifting tide, with increasing support and importance placed on mental health care. Specifically, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act incentivize integrated behavioral health, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equality Act increase insurance coverage for behavioral health. 4 With increased opportunity for reimbursement sustainability of these programs will improve with time, increasing access to mental health care for children and adolescents.
