Abstract

The papers submitted for the next two sessions explored the future of screening, primarily for human diseases with a genetic component, but also for infectious diseases using probes for the agent's genes. To complete the picture, permit me to present in Table 1 a likely sequence of discoveries that will transform and expand the current realm of screening.
