Abstract
It is uncommon to see a lesion in Paget's disease of bone so early that it is purely lytic. The authors report here on a patient in whom the progression of this type of lesion in the mid portion of the diaphysis of the tibia was observed over a period of 12 yr. Because of the location of the lesion, it was possible to calculate the rates of longitudinal and periosteal progression of Paget's disease in this patient.
