Research output: Contribution to journalReview articlepeer-review

The extent of the perioperative evaluation and cardiovascular testing of the vascular surgery patient depends on the specific surgical procedure, clinical evaluation, and exercise tolerance. Patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy do not need preoperative testing unless they are symptomatic, whereas patients undergoing infrainguinal revascularization remain at high risk despite the peripheral procedure.
