Pneumoscrotum after colonoscopy

Abstract

A case of pneumoscrotum after colonoscopy is reported. The patient recovered uneventfully with careful observation. This complication was the result of perforation of retroperitoneal bowel by the colonoscope. As such, prophylactic antimicrobial therapy may be indicated.
