Abstract

The use of percutaneous antegrade pyelography is illustrated in a series of patients in whom an accurate diagnosis could not be established by conventional intravenous or retrograde pyelography. It has been especially useful in patients with urinary diversion and ureteral fistula. We believe that antegrade pyelography is a useful, simple, and safe diagnostic procedure and should be utilized more frequently in the preoperative assessment of patients with hydronephrosis.
