Outcomes of Women Undergoing Excision of the Retained Cervix after Supracervical Hysterectomy

Research output: Contribution to journal › Comment/debate › peer-review

Abstract

(Abstracted from Obstet Gynecol 2021;137(5):831-836) Supracervical hysterectomy accounted for approximately 7% of all hysterectomies from 2012 to 2016. Supracervical hysterectomy is often desired because of belief that there is superior sexual and urinary function with retention of the cervix as well as decreased operative complexity.
