Abstract

This article discusses efforts that scientists, doctors and researchers are making to fight brain disease such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. Scientists are experimenting with a variety of techniques that send medicines directly to the brain. Doctors are already using two of there methods to deliver drugs to other parts of the body, implantable pumps and plastic matrices that slowly relieve medication.
