Abstract

Transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) involving the renal pelvis accounts for approximately 10% of all renal tumors and 5% of all urothelial tumors.1 Tumors involving the ureter are even less common. Upper tract urothelial tumors most commonly affect patients in their sixth to seventh decade of life.2 Occurrence of these tumours is approximately twice as common in males as in females3 and they are more commonly seen in whites.4.
