Abstract
A two-step approach was developed to study the effective mechanical properties of the cytoskeleton. Monte-Carlo simulation was run, and histograms and mean values of the elements of the stiffness and compliance matrices were obtained. It was observed that the spacing between the neighboring crosslinks has the most significant effect on the properties of the cytoskeleton.
