Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Chapter

Abstract

Patients with acute aortic syndromes are by nature complex with substantial rates of morbidity and mortality. Common complications after operative management of patients with acute type A aortic dissection include: bleeding, malperfusion, myocardial ischemia, aortic complications, neurologic complications, and multisystem organ failure. Careful planning and execution of the operation and meticulous post-operative care will help reduce post-operative complications.
