title = "MAGNETOFLUIDIC-ENABLED POINT-OF-CARE DETECTION OF MULTI-DRUG RESISTANT CANDIDA AURIS IN < 30 MINUTES",
abstract = "Candida auris infection is an emerging global health issue which requires rapid screening to control the spread. However, the existing diagnosis method requires complex sample preparation steps and costly instruments that limited its utility to centralized laboratories. In response, we present POC.auris, a portable device, which uses magnetofluidics and miniaturized PCR coupled with handheld lysis method that can detect C. auris cells from patient swab or environmental sponge liquids in < 30 min and reaches 100 CFU/mL limit-of-detection.",
