Abstract

Key Points: Alternative careers for physicians are very diverse. No two are exactly the same. There are numerous reasons why physicians seek alternative career tracks. The opportunities for physicians outside clinical medicine are great. Those considering alternative careers should network with those physicians who have made the leap. Their stories are invaluable.
