Abstract

Kikuchi - Fujimoto disease (KFD) is an infrequent benign cause of cervical lymphadenopathy characterized by the pathological finding of histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis. We report of a young female of Filipino descent born in the US that presented with tender cervical lymphadenopathy subsequently diagnosed with KFD. With KFD predominantly documented in the pathology literature, we discuss the clinical presentation, pathology, radiological findings and differential diagnoses to aid the otolaryngologist in recognizing this rare entity.
