Iris Suturing of an Intraocular Lens

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Inadequate capsule support can be due to multiple reasons. The 3 main reasons for inadequate capsule support are: Complicated cataract surgery with posterior capsular break or significant zonular loss As a result of trauma or secondary to congenital problems (eg, Marfan syndrome, Weill-Marchesani syndrome, homocystinuria, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, spherophakia) Secondary to concurrent ocular conditions (eg, pseudoexfoliation).
