Abstract
Inadequate capsular support can be caused by many things. The 3 main reasons for inadequate capsular support are (1) complicated cataract surgery with posterior capsular break or significant zonular loss, (2) result of trauma or secondary to congenital problems (eg, Marfan syndrome, Weill-Marchesani syndrome, homocystinuria, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, or spherophakia), and (3) secondary to concurrent ocular conditions (eg, pseudoexfoliation).
