Abstract

Penina Ochola Odhiambo is retired. She holds a diploma in advanced nursing from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and is a PhD candidate at Great Lakes University of Kisumu, Kenya. She is a founding member of the Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development in Kisumu (TICH) and the Kisumu Medical and Education Trust. She was previously the country director of AMREF, regional health advisor for PLAN International, country director for FHI/AIDSCAP, and director of Primary Health Care at AMREF.
