Abstract
Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging (I) and spectrscopy (S) have a unique role to play in understanding the interplay between tumor metabolism and vascularization. The noninvasive nature of the technique allows investigation of the dynamics of this relationship both with growth and following treatment. Here we briefly review tumor vascularization and present data to demonstrate how MRI/MRS can provide unique insight into tumor vascularization.
