Infantile spasms

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Infantile spasms is a relatively common epilepsy syndrome affecting young infants and often with devastating results. The current gold standard therapy remains ACTH at this time. However, vigabatrin and the ketogenic diet may become more useful agents in the future. Other therapies are of little proven value. With significant morbidity, the need for additional therapies for infantile spasms is clearly imperative.
