Abstract

The diagnostic utility of optical coherence tomography (OCT) was investigated as a medical imaging procedure. An integrated OCT colposcope was developed to identify markers of dysplastic change. The OCT colposcope enabled acquisition of cross-sectional tomographic images of cervical tissue. Images were obtained at a rate of 4 to 8 frames per second for 500 and 250 transverse pixel images.
