Abstract

Soft agar and limiting dilution techniques have been used in conjunction with T-cell growth factor to develop methods for the cloning of continuous T-lymphoid populations from single lymphoid cells. Clones have been produced from both fresh murine splenocytes as well as from in vitro sensitized cells. These T-cell clones have continued to express specific cytotoxic functions for over 4 months and should be a valuable source of monoclonal lymphoid cells for immunologic studies.
